Do I need to bring towels and linens with me?
No, we provide all towels and sheets as well as beach towels.
Do you have a hairdryer and an iron?
Yes, we have two hairdryers and an iron with an ironing board.
Do you provide any starter amenities?
Yes, we provide soap, shampoo and conditioner, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing soap, and laundry detergent to get you started. There are also some spices in the spice cabinet.
Do you allow pets?
Pets are allowed with permission. Additional fees apply.
Do you provide a crib or highchair?
No, we do not provide any type of crib or highchair, however there are local businesses that rent baby equipment. Please see our Local Links page.
Should I purchase trip insurance?
We encourage all of our guests to purchase trip insurance. A few of the choices available are:
What kind of payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit cards, personal checks and money orders/bank checks.
Can my deposit be applied to my final payment?
No, we require the deposit, initially as a reservation deposit and then it becomes a security deposit in case of damage to the property or contents. Deposit is fully refundable as long as there is no damage or breach of contract.
How long will it take to get my deposit back?
You can expect your deposit within 3-4 weeks as long as there is no damage to the property.
Who do I call if there is a problem?
A book is provided at the house that contains contact information for all of our service providers. We have a guest manager who lives only a few minutes away.
Can I have my special event at your house and invite friends to attend?
Please remember this is a house and not an event hall. Occupancy at all times is limited to 32 people including the 16 overnight guests. Any event planned must be pre-approved by the owners and may require additional fees and deposits as well as event insurance.
How many people can sleep in the house? How many cars can we bring?
We are licensed to sleep 16 people with parking for 6 cars. Exceeding these amounts will result in loss of the security deposit and additional fines if the Isle of Palms police issue a citation.
How will I get into the house when I arrive?
We use a keyless entry system. Once your final payment has been received, you will be sent a 10 digit code which is date and time specific.
What happens if I can’t figure out how to work the lock or I forget to bring my code?
You will be provided with emergency contact information. Call one of the people on the list provided for assistance operating the lock. If you forget to bring your combination, call Kathy.
Do you have a wagon or cart to take things to the beach?
We have a fabulous, Amish made wagon to help you get all your things to the beach. There are also a supply of beach chairs and beach toys that you can use.
Is your pool heated?
Yes, for an additional fee, the pool can be heated
How do I know how to work the appliances, TV’s and thermostats?
There is a book in the house with instructions to many of the things within the house.
What do I have to do when I check out?
Check-out is simple. Strip all the beds, gather all the dirty linens, take all your food, collect the trash, lock the doors and leave!
How far is it to the Charleston airport?
The airport is about a 30-40 minutes drive from the Isle of Palms.
Do you provide daily maid service?
No, the house is cleaned prior to your arrival. No additional cleaning is done, however for guests staying longer than a week, we can arrange to have maid service weekly on a fee for service basis.
